On my birthday this year i indulged in all the things that I love doing. We strolled around the streets of Dublin stopping off for French toast in the Cracked Nut in Camden Street, D2.

Then we stopped off at Aungier Danger, D2 for mid-morning dessert, which was a salted caramel-glazed donut. Delicious!
Next stop was the lovely This is Knit yarn shop in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, D2 for yarn to make Stephen West’s Batad poncho / shawlette (see below) that I’ve been lusting after.
After an inspiring morning i sat down to read The Organic Gardening Bible by Bob Flowerdew (very apt name) that a very kind friend bought me from Avoca, another Irish store and that evening my husband treated me to a fabulous home cooked meal of locally grown organic food. Life doesn’t get much better!
