In 2016, we travelled to France, primarily to Disneyland Paris but I didn’t want to travel all the way to France and just see Disneyland. Thanks to a conveniently-named ‘Most Beautiful Villages in France‘ website we just picked two villages on route to Disneyland Paris, found accommodation in them via Trip Advisor and hoped for the best …. and we weren’t disappointed.

The first village we visited was a large village called Bayeux and the lovely La Ferme en Ville B&B we stayed in was about a 10-minute walk from the village centre. The room in the B&B was spacious and clean, the host was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. It’s the village centre that won it a place on this website. It’s very picturesque and hidden behind some more modern – and generally less attractive – architecture.
Centre of the Old Part of Bayeux.
There is a great pizzeria (Villa des Antiquaires) on this street, Rue Gaston Folloppe
After our stay in Disneyland Paris we travelled to Bevron en Auge and stayed in the B&B Aux Trois Damoiselles. Lovely clean spacious room and with a fab breakfast and lovely host.
